Five Star Maid Service, Inc is owned and operated by Virginia “Ginny” Jerkins.  Ginnys’ mother started a cleaning service in Charlotte in 1978 called “Dial-A-Maid”.  Ginny ran that company for years until she branched off to service the Lake Norman area in 1996 and soon after acquired her mothers’ company.  The name “Five Star’ was a family decision.  Ginny and her husband, Alan, have 3 sons.  Her oldest son picked the name “5 Star” because they were a family of 5!  He was 11 years old at the time.
For 35 years we have offered the highest quality service and very affordable prices.  We have been with many of our customers since the 1980’s. We have seen their children born, grow up, marry and have children of their own. Many of those children are now also clients. We treat all of our clients like family and take great pride in making their homes shine!
